Red Cross Nursing and Employment Scheme (RCNES)
This is a project aimed at catering to the needs of the nuclear family in modern times. The RCNES is the most widely appreciated service project of the Kottayam Red Cross. Under the scheme specially trained nurses are available for providing selfless and dedicated nursing care to the bed ridden and ailing elderly people.
This unique scheme was started on 31st July 1987 by Sri K T Ouseph, Hony. Secretary. The project serves a twofold purpose. It opens up job avenues for thousands of young women and at the same time thousands of patients and aged persons find very satisfying and homely service.
